The so-called “Magic Tree” stands in the middle of the killing fields. Around it are uncovered mass graves, now covered with grass. To save on the cost of bullets, victims were bludgeoned to death.
The sign next to the tree reads: “Magic tree… The tree was used as a tool to hang a loudspeaker which makes sound louder to avoid the moan of victims while they were being executed.”
